Description
The IWC Portugieser Chronograph Edition “Seddiqi – Al Jalila Foundation Dubai” Ref. IW371489 is a particularly rare chapter in the history of the iconic Portugieser collection. Developed in collaboration with Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, the Dubai-exclusive edition was limited to only 200 individually numbered pieces.
Its standout feature is the midnight-blue dial, presented entirely with Eastern Arabic numerals across the main dial and chronograph registers. At its launch, it represented the first IWC watch to be produced with Eastern Arabic numerals, giving this Portugieser a distinctive regional identity and significant collector appeal.
The stainless-steel case houses IWC’s automatic Calibre 79350 mechanical chronograph movement, offering a 44-hour power reserve and stopwatch functionality with minutes and seconds. The watch is complemented by a refined brown alligator leather strap, while the case back carries the Al Jalila Foundation engraving, reflecting the charitable purpose behind the edition.
